Typing animation

Human Type Simulator

Paste your text and watch it being typed the way a person types: an uneven rhythm, pauses to think and the odd typo that gets fixed. Then download it as a video for a tutorial, a demo or a social post.

Your text never leaves this page: the animation is drawn and recorded in your browser.

How it works

Three steps, one video

  1. 01

    Paste your text

Up to 3,000 characters. Choose how it should look: a document, a code editor or a chat.

  2. 02

    Tune the typing

Set the speed, the pauses after sentences and how often the typist makes a mistake and fixes it.

  3. 03

    Download the video

The preview is recorded as it plays, so the file shows exactly what you saw on the screen.

FAQ

Good to know

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. The animation is generated and recorded in your browser. The text and settings are saved only in this browser, so they are still here the next time you open the page.

Why does recording take as long as the video?

The preview is recorded while it plays in real time. Keep the tab open and in front until the download starts: browsers slow down tabs that are in the background.

Which file format will I get?

MP4 where your browser can record it, otherwise WebM. The button shows the format before you start. YouTube and most video editors accept both.

Can I get a different take of the same text?

Yes. "New take" keeps your settings but changes where the pauses and typos fall, the way the same person never types a sentence twice in exactly the same way.
